Kids' Ministry COVID Guidelines

Note: guidelines are subject to change without notice.

We currently have Kids' In-Person Services at the Bear Campus on Sundays at 9 AM, and at the Middletown Campus at 11 am. We have taken extra steps to increase health and safety measures that comply with CDC guidelines so we can make this a safe, fun, face-to-face atmosphere for children, birth through 5th grade.  While it may not be possible to remove all risks, the following guidelines will greatly reduce the risk of transmission. Read through the steps below so you are familiar with our new children's guidelines:

  • When to Arrive: Plan to arrive 15 minutes before service start so we can get all children checked in on time. Rooms will close five minutes after services start.

  • What to Do (& Not to Do): Send only one parent to check in and drop off your child, to help limit traffic. According to CDC guidelines, children in kindergarten through 5th grade are required to wear a mask, unless there is a medical reason. Please maintain the social distancing guidelines of 6 feet between other parties while checking in and picking up your child. There will be lots of big, friendly waves, but let’s all avoid hugs, high-fives and handshakes.

  • First Stop – Temperature Station: All kids will be required to have their temperature checked, using a no-contact scan thermometer. Any child with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be permitted to attend the children’s service, and families will be asked to enjoy the service at home that day. Children will also be required to apply hand sanitizer at the Temperature Station.

  • Second Stop – Check-in Station: Our leaders will be there to assist families with a touchless Check-in process and direct them to the right room.

  • Last Stop – Rooms: One parent will be allowed to drop off and pick up their child from the room, as stated above. Children will receive their own personal packet in the room, that will contain activities for the day. Hand sanitizing stations will be available in each room and hand washing will be encouraged, when needed. All toys and hard surfaces will be sanitized before and after each service. If a child shows any symptoms of illness during the service, he or she will be immediately removed from the room and parents will be contacted.

  • Pick Up: Please do not congregate in the children’s area. Be mindful of other’s picking up their kids.

  • When to Stay Home: We will all need to work together to keep our Kids' Ministry safe, so please stay home and participate in our Children’s Online Sunday Services if your child:
- Has had a fever in the past 14 days.
- Shows any symptoms of COVID-19.
- Has been around anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- Shows any symptoms of other contagious illnesses, including fever above 100.4, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, sore throat, headache, body aches, congestion, or shortness of breath.

Assumption of risk related to Coronavirus/COVID-19: Due to the nature of COVID-19, by attending Love of Christ Church, you voluntarily assume all risk to you and/or your family, and waive any liability against the church and any other people attending.
