What We Believe

Our core beliefs are based upon the foundational truths taught in God's Word.  All our teachings and ministries are rooted in and flow out of these Biblical doctrines.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, absolutely without error, and the only infallible rule of faith and conduct. God's Word has power to change lives through the reading, meditation, study, anointed teaching and application of its truths (2 Timothy 3:16Hebrews 4:12).

God's revelation of Himself in the Bible shows He exists as one God in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit (John 1:14John 10:302 Corinthians 3:17Colossians 1:15-17).

The Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin; led a sinless life; bore our sins, sicknesses and afflictions through His death on the cross; was bodily resurrected from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father. This same Jesus will return again to earth (Luke 1:26-31John 20:1-29Romans 8:34Hebrews 10:121 Thessalonians 4:14-171 John 3:5).

Jesus came to preach the gospel, heal the brokenhearted and destroy the works of the devil. Before He ascended into heaven, Jesus gave the church the responsibility and His authority to complete this same task (Luke 4:14Luke 4:43Matthew 28:18-19).

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells and equips every believer with spiritual gifts to be a faithful, productive follower of Christ. The Holy Spirit also baptizes every believer with power to be an effective witness in sharing the gospel (Luke 11:13, Acts 1:5 & 8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

All men are lost apart from the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and sin is cleansed and salvation is received only through personal repentance and faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23Romans 10:9-10Titus 3:5-7).

The Church

The Church is intended to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every Christian is part of the priesthood of believers and has been called to actively advance God's Kingdom by use of their spiritual gifts; this calling is not limited to ordained pastors and staff but every member of the church. One day each of us will be judged on how faithful we are in stewarding our opportunities & abilities (Matthew 5:14-161 Corinthians 12:271 Peter 2:92 Corinthians 5:10).

Our faith is demonstrated in full devotion to Jesus Christ as Lord of every part of our lives,. The supreme earmark of every Christ follower is faith expressing itself in love. True ministry and evangelism are built upon personal relationships, and the best way to lead others to faith is by serving them through prayer, acts of kindness, sharing our testimony and inviting them to church or a small group (Romans 12:1Galatians 5:61 Peter 4:10).

Prayer is the key to success in doing anything for God. We can do nothing without His power, but with Him, nothing is impossible to those who believe and will pray (Mark 9:23Mark 11:24James 5:16).

The Biblical definition of marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:4-6).
